Why We Recommend This
Sesame increases soil structure, improves water retention, and outcompetes weeds. Sesame can also reduce root-knot and soybeans cyst nematodes. It has a low risk of pest of disease.
Things to Watch Out For
Sesame seedlings are vulnerable to cold, wet conditions and wind can cause lodging. Sesame is not a good choice for grazing mixes as cattle will likely leave it.
