Why We Recommend This
Okra is a fast growing, warm season broadleaf that is extremely heat tolerant with a deep taproot making it an excellent compaction breaker. It will create a large canopy and livestock benefit from grazing its pods which are high in vitamins. It produces large flowers which are good for attracting beneficials.
Things to Watch Out For
Okra has a woody stalk and should not be used for haying.
