Why We Recommend This
Common vetch produces lots of biomass and fixes N for the following crop. It does not have any hard seeds and does well as forage.
Things to Watch Out For
Common Vetch has a vine and climb nature which can pull down small grain crops. In addition, Common Vetch has a hard seed coat and it can lay dormant in the soil for multiple years before germinating, potentially making it a weed.
