Why We Recommend This
Berseem clover is fast growing, fixes N, and produces biomass. Berseem clover works well as a smother crop, produces forage, and is attractive to pollinators.
Things to Watch Out For
Berseem clover is less equipped for droughts than alfalfa and does not tolerate waterlogging. It is also less winter hardy than other annual clovers and it's shallow root system makes it a poor match for sandy soils.
